Coming from out of town?
We have a few options in terms of accommodation. Many students stay in Nadi Bangsar or The Establishment where you can get a whole new studio apartment to yourself, both are available on Airbnb and are a 5 minute grab ride from the studio (which costs about 5 Ringgit). The other option is a serviced apartment called The Nomad which is bookable through Expedia etc, this is about 7 minutes walk to the studio. All these options cost approximately USD 30 per night. A firm favourite seems to be Nadi however because there’s a great selection of restaurants within 2 minutes walk as well as a decent coffee shop - most important!
In terms of food, eating out if you like Malaysian / Indian food is super cheap - one meal will probably cost less than USD 3. Food at the supermarket costs pretty much the same as US / UK / Australia,
It’s a pretty easy city to hang out in, most people speak English and transport via grab is super cheap. And there’s plenty of sights to see at the weekend too.
