Unfortunately the competition side of these Kickstarters is closed, but we hope you’ll still find them inspiring.
Bling It On Challenge
This jewellery should be either a pendant, ring, bracelet or pair of earrings and would be something your ideal customer would purchase for themselves, and not a gift for or from a loved one.
Pick and Mix Challenge
Design a Collection
One masterpiece – 3 supporting pieces – 5 best sellers.
We’re not going down the arty bollocks route here – let’s keep this simple and just get started! We’re not overcomplicating this, because the most important thing is to just get started!
The Saw and The Stone Challenge
This challenge was conjured up to help you push those bench skills to the max, as well as to (hopefully) help you realise inspiration can be found in the most random of places. Design and make a single piece of jewellery, based on one of the themes utilising the following techniques: Saw Piercing and Bezel Setting.
Movie Magic Challenge
Design and make a piece of jewellery inspired by a movie of your choice. It can be absolutely anything at all, using any materials you wish. See? I told you it would be fun!
Flush Setting Challenge
If you’re looking to nail those flush setting skills then this challenge might be for you. Firstly we’ll work through the process step by step creating sample squares, before completing a single spectacular project!
Chunky Chain Challenge
6 weeks, to make just one single chain, but of course there’s a little more to it than that. As always, this one isn’t just about making, it’s considering design, testing out those ideas and finally putting all that into action to make one spectacular chunky chain.

Bang Bang Bangles
Time to get a little extra bench work in with this one, and of course learn a few new techniques along the way too. 1 month to design and create a stack of bangles….. as always though, there’s more to it than that. You’ll want to make sure you have some 10 (2.6mm) and / or 12 gauge (2mm) wire handy for this one.
Instasmithy Challenge
If you want to sell your work, or even if you don’t, a social media presence is pretty much essential these days to help get your name out there. Whether you’re just starting out with social or well established, this challenge is for you! If you’re going to do this, let us know over in the forums, so we can cheer you on!
Joodle a Day
Let’s get those creative juices flowing! to start with we’ll keep it simple. A downloadable handout with prompts, and all you have to do is just one sketch a day. No fancy drawings here, this is just an exercise to help get that creativity flowing. Like any form of exercise all it takes to get better is a little practice!
